How Many Men Is Too Many?

Dear Whitney and Liria,

I'm thirty-two and single. I'm writing because I recently told a friend how many men I've slept with and she called me a slut. What I want to know is, do you think that thirty-two men is too many for someone my age? I mean, it's only two guys a year since I lost my virginity as sixteen.

When Whitney hops down from her high horse, she should be able to give you all kinds of recipes to keep the next one from ever leaving.

We've got to do something about that revolving door, Cookie. I vote for culinary school. Give yourself six months, and choose number thirty-three carefully. He oughtta be a keeper. If by this time next year the sign above your bed reads thirty five served, well, fun is too much fun. Just remember you're not getting any younger. If you don't change your ways eventually, she who started as Fun in Philly is likely to become The Jezebel of South Florida's early-bird-special set. And really, how fun is that?

Ok, maybe Whitney was a bit harsh, but wasn’t Miss Philly looking for honest answers. She got two, one that called her a slut, as did her own friend who really knows her and one that said lets find a way to hold onto one of these men. Sometimes honesty is a real bitch! I personally think that 32 guys in 32 years is a bit much. Having fun is one thing, but you can get into a real relationship and have all kinds of fun. Nothing wrong with trying new things just with the same guy instead of moving onto the next. Miss Philly might want to think about why she has this kind of pattern, because there might be something to why she keeps finding new men that has more to do with just having fun. I think that Whitney and Liria have a great personality difference that really gives the answers two different views. This is such a fun site, I’m so glad that I found it. I can’t wait to try some of the recipes also. How inventive!

I have a question from a guys view point, I recently re-married after being with the same woman since high school, my new wife revealed she's slept with at least 13 other guys....should I be worried?

Seriously?!?!?? What kind of ignorance is this website trying to spread? Who are we to decide whether or not this woman has been with too many men... The bottom line is there isn't any REAL number as to how many is TOO MANY. There's way too many factors that can alter the reason why a woman has been with numerous partners to sit there and blindly pass judgement on such a petty number like "32"... I've been a New Yorker my whole life and have just about seen it all. From Mormons to Swingers there's plenty of people who find it socially acceptable to be with multiple partners so please dont let some "hater" like Whitney tell you any different. "Having Fun", if you're using protection and sleeping with these men for the "right" reasons and not because you're trying to fill some emotional void, then by all means keep having fun because at the end of the day nor I, Whitney or Liria's opinion mean diddly squat. What matters is that you safely enjoy the life you've been blessed with and make sure you always maintain your self respect :)

Unfortunatly the society we live in is full of "Whitneys", so just be grateful that your not as close-minded to other peoples way of life. Live and let live ;)
